This is for the information of the General Public that the office of the Sub - Registrar, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong has implemented the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) w.e.f. 2nd November 2026, specifically for the registration of Sale Deeds. Kindly see public Notice issued on the 16th October 2026. Download
The list of documents required for Sale Deed are as follows -
1. Land documents.
2. Seller's and Buyer's Proof of Identity (Voter's ID) and Pancard.
3. 2 (two) Witnesses along with Proof of Identity (Voter's ID).
4. Supporting documents, if any.
